Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative is an obstacle for many travel plans

Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative is an obstacle for many travel plans.

As many of you know by now, especially if you have any plans to come to one of our neighboring countries such as Canada or Mexico, your travel plans could be jeopardized visit. “The law on prevention, intelligence and terrorism and the reform of 2004 requires the Department of Homeland Security and the State to develop Department and a plan for all travelers, U.S. citizens and nationals of the foreign passport or other document, or a combination of documents, the identity and citizenship, if present in the United States. Congress parts of the law changed in 2006. The Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative is the Administration proposed plan to implement this mandate. “What does this mean? Now think for a start, if you travel to Mexico, Canada, Bermuda or the Caribbean, you will be prompted for a pass to travel outside the U.S. receive States of America.

You can not long ago, just to visit travel to Canada or Mexico, as easy as traveling with your parents five states. Not any more. The Federal Government’s target that, “strengthen border security and immigration to the United States for U.S. citizens and legitimate foreign visitors” now requires that all travelers basically “in check” by acquiring a passport for identification and proof of citizenship. This is an absolute necessity, our borders against unauthorized access with the hope, especially to protect individuals from acts of terrorism abroad to prevent. Unfortunately, influence policy and the enforcement of border security will go both incoming tourists and domestic tourists abroad. In January 2007, a trip to Mexico, Canada, Bermuda and the Caribbean is now a “traveling abroad”, where once we could travel in the above countries with little or no documentation at all.

How does the traveling to Canada? or Mexico? or Bermuda? Or the Caribbean? Well the short answer for you is not much. But if you’re like me, and take a family vacation every year in Mexico, it might cost a little more this year. Take for example a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children under 16 years). The cost of the journey has just exploded because of the law, I am now required to obtain an individual passport in and out of the United States Cross. So, now, not just me for the monetary costs in obtaining a passport related passport, 4 in this example, but I must now take the time to know my day when I can take 4 passport applications and then assign one find a place that will have my passport photo, attached to the passport. I’m not … I have to complete my whole family to go on this trip pass. I pick my kids up from school for this? It their lack of band or sports practice after school? Do I lose an hour of traffic and fight with my family, just our passport and found a place that will take our passport photo? Unfortunately, this scenario is all too often in 2007 and beyond, that the Federal Government is to increase security for our country. My advice is to get your passport in the first and beat the rush. And if you’re lucky, find someone who will come to your workplace or home and all your needs, passport photos as mobile forms for passport photos.
